Gathering Places

2007-2011

In my Gathering Places series of paintings I capture a certain space-place from the bird’s eye view in which I explore the dynamics of landscapes, cityscapes and waterscapes, referring to their organic, natural, and man-made forms. The cities, such as Berlin, Germany, San Diego, CA, Florence, Italy, Dalmatia and Dubrovnik, Croatia, the Red Rock Canyon, AR, the Mississippi River, etc., are some of many fascinating waterscapes and landscapes, which I portray in my paintings in bright, multi-layered, biomorphic shapes.
