Paris Sirap Mirroring

2006

A show about Paris, France, in Zagreb, Croatia, by an artist-polymath, Neda Miranda Blazevic-Krietzman, features photographs of fancy-fashion shop windows in upscale Paris quartiers that wittily and dreamily play off the reflections from la rue and high-end wires within. Blazevic cities in her statement the influences such as Sigmund Freud, Salvador Dali and Marcel Duchamp, but with works such as L’Amour Fou (Crazy Love), featuring an accessory-laden vitrine of pink and leopard-skin handbags with matching shoes, belt, earrings, clutch purse, watch and gloves, we are thinking more of Anna Wintour, Donatella Versace and Miuccia Prada. Blazevic-Krietzman’s photographs prove that she, as an artist, will always be in fashion.
